West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass will come up against his former club Aston Villa this season, and he is sure to get a good reception by the Villa Park supporters.

Aston Villa supporters have expressed their appreciation towards West Ham United’s Robert Snodgrass and stated that he’ll get a strong ovation by their fans when he returns to the club in September.

Dean Smith’s side, who earned promotion to the Premier League in May, will come up against the Hammers at Villa Park in September in a Monday night fixture.

Snodgrass, who spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Villa, recently stated that his time at the Midlands club was ‘one of the best years of his life’, as quoted by Football London.

At the time, Villa were managed by Steve Bruce and they were trying their utmost best to earn promotion from the Championship.

They ended up losing the play-off final to Fulham, which Snodgrass started, but the fans remember in a fond manner his strong performances during the season and his desire to work for the team.

As a result, it isn’t a surprise to hear that some of them are going to show their appreciation towards the experienced player when he makes a return to Villa with West Ham ahead of the new campaign.

Snodgrass was one of Villa’s best players during his time at the club, as it seems as though his loan spell at Villa Park has helped him prove his worth at West Ham.
