Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos may yet be offered an exit from Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is a target for both Crystal Palace and West Ham United this summer.

The Gers saw Morelos smash 30 goals in 48 games last season, but also watched him pick up a ridiculous 18 yellow cards and five reds.

Morelos is a huge talent, but needs to sort out his disciplinary issues if he’s to really fulfil his potential, and his goalscoring record is attracting Premier League interest despite his hot-headed nature.

It’s believed that Palace and West Ham are both keen on Morelos, with the two sides looking for striking reinforcements this summer, but they’d surely have to pay big money to get Morelos out of Ibrox.

Palace need a new striker after seeing Michy Batshuayi’s loan spell come to an end, whilst West Ham have seen three strikers depart this summer, and may look to Morelos alongside big-money target Sebastien Haller.

Rangers would surely demand huge money, as they should. Morelos is a 23-year-old striker coming off a 30-goal season, and in this market, why would’t they demand a massive fee?

Pundit Andy Gray has now had his say, and he feels that Rangers should sell Morelos if they get an offer in the region of £15million for the Colombian international.

Gray feels that Rangers could bring in a replacement and strengthen the entire team, or rely on Jermain Defoe for goals instead, believing that the Gers didn’t miss him much at the end of last season.

“I’m not a fan of Morelos. He’s unreliable in big games,” said Gray. “He’s not done enough against the likes of Celtic – he hasn’t even scored against them yet. So I’m not a big fan at all but I do understand Steven has got a guy here who scored more than 30 goals last season. If it was as simple as replacing him with another guy who will score 30 plus next season then I’d definitely get rid. If someone comes in for him with £15m then Rangers would be foolish not to sell him and try to use the money to bring in that replacement.”

“Or, if you could tell me Jermain is going to be fit for the whole season, I would say, ‘Sell Morelos, get the money in and make the group better’. But you have to remember there’s 30 goals to replace if he’s sold and it’s Steven’s job to balance that. If he feels he can get those goals from other areas then he’ll be tempted to sell. Put it this way, when Morelos was suspended at the end of last season he wasn’t missed that much. It was good for the other boys not to have to be so reliant on him,” he added.
