You Me Her on Netflix: Who plays Izzy? Age, previous roles and more!

You Me Her

Izzy makes a welcome return to UK Netflix in You Me Her season 4.

Netflix continues to deliver a range of great content, serving up TV shows to please you, me, her and everyone.

The American-Canadian production of the comedy-drama series You Me Her is yet another crowd-pleasing show which the streaming mogul has offered audiences to binge. It's pretty palatable, funny viewing which deals with a concept you don't often see explored in such a way elsewhere.

John Scott Shepherd's series follows a married couple - Jack (Greg Poehler, ) and Emma (Rachel Blanchard) - who together embark on a three-way romance with grad-student Isabella "Izzy" Silva (Priscilla Faia). It's not commonplace to see a polyamorous relationship unfold on screen, especially over an episodic structure spanning seasons. In this respect, You Me Her was considered quite the game-changer when it premiered back in 2016.

You Me Her on Netflix

After attracting the significant interest of a wide audience with its first season, the show - set in Portland, Oregon - was renewed by Audience Network for a second and third season the very year that it arrived.

In 2018, it was renewed for a fourth and fifth, the latter of which is said to be the final season. This is both good and sad news, as it promises more while simultaneously telling fans it will soon end. Season 4 arrived recently, airing on television from April up until June.

UK audiences had to remain patient though, after having more than likely binged the first three seasons on Netflix. The fourth season had to finish premiering before it dropped on Netflix, but fortunately, all ten episodes finally arrived on Friday, July 12th 2019.

Many have already worked their way through them, looking forward to the fifth and final crop of episodes; little is known about the season yet. Fans have grown so attached to the characters, and the idea of saying goodbye seems like a little bit of a drag, especially to fan-favourite Izzy...

Meet Izzy actress Priscilla Faia

Izzy is played by 33-year-old Canadian actress Priscilla Faia!

Her first credited role came in the 2009 short After the Riots, and was followed up in 2011 with another short, The Meeting. However, she secured the role of Shelby on the TV series True Justice in 2012; this action-crime show also starred the one-and-only Steven Seagal.

Of course, this is a very different beast to You Me Her, which she wouldn't land until four years later. It's not like those four years were uneventful though, as her career was progressing considerably up until Izzy. She starred in such movies as One Night in Seattle, but her more notable roles were in TV series' like crime-drama Rookie Blue; she played Chloe Price.

Faia starred in the show for a couple of years, leading up to her casting on You Me Her. It was a hit with audiences, and many of her fans likely followed her over from the former to the latter.

Follow her on Insta!

You can follow the actress over on Instagram at @priscillafaia. There's some great content on there and it's definitely worth taking a look at if you're a fan of the show; there's You Me Her content as well as snaps away from Izzy.

She recently posted a farewell to the show of sorts; "Endings.. I’ll be saying goodbye to my Izzy for a while yet, but in the meantime I want to thank our @audiencenetwork and @eone_tv family, @johnscottshepherd @gailharvey and all those involved in front and behind the camera on @youmeher over our five wonderful seasons. And to @gpoles22 , Rach and @melaniepapalia .... the best part of this show was that it gave me all of you. Thank you to our fans... we wouldn’t be here without you. It’s been a privilege. I’ll miss my dear #eji profoundly."

It's touching to see, but fortunately, there's more You Me Her to dig into before the ride's over.
