Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in a summer move for striker Fedor Chalov.

Chalov of CSKA Moscow controls the ball during the UEFA Champions League Group G match between Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow at Bernabeu on December 12, 2018 in Madrid, Spain.

A number of Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mirror over the weekend that suggested that Spurs are one of a number of sides interested in signing Fedor Chalov this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be extremely pleased with the business that his club have done so far in this window, with both Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele joining.

But it appears that he is still keen to add a striker to his ranks following Fernando Llorente’s departure earlier in the window. And the Mirror suggested that Chalov is one of the players on his radar.

The £20 million-rated star is being chased by a number of heavyweights across the continent, including Bayern Munich, Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs. It is also noted by the Mirror that Arsenal want the CSKA Moscow star.

Nevertheless, plenty of Tottenham supporters on social media do not appear to be overly enthused about the links, despite Chalov scoring 17 goals in all competitions last season.

A couple have noted that he is the kind of player that Danny Rose was talking about with his now infamous comments about potential Tottenham signings, while others have questioned the likelihood of Spurs actually being interested.

There is some support for a potential bid for Chalov. But it appears that he would have a point to prove to most if he did make a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
