Celtic have been linked with a move for Hatem Abd Elhamed.
According to The Daily Record, Hapoel Be'er Sheva defender Hatem Abd Elhamed is deciding his future this week amid links to Celtic.
Celtic have brought in one centre back this summer in Christopher Jullien, but may well be in the market for an experienced option to aid Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer.
A number of options have been linked, but The Scottish Sun claimed earlier this month that Celtic are interested in Abd Elhamed, with a £1.6million fee mentioned.
Now, it's believed that the 28-year-old will decide his future this week, with Celtic potentially left waiting to hear what he plans to do.
The links to Abd Elhamed looked strange at first. He's had a nomadic career, playing in Israel, Belgium and Romania, whilst he only has one cap for Israel.
However, when you look at who his agent is, things start to add up. That's because Abd Elhamed is represented by Dudu Dahan, who will be a familiar name to many Celtic fans.
Dahan enjoyed a strong relationship with Celtic during Lennon's first stint as manager, with the pair seemingly close.
During Lennon's time as Celtic boss, the Bhoys signed a number of Dahan clients. Beram Kayal, Efe Ambrose, Rami Gershon, Amido Balde and Nir Bitton all joined the club, and the partnership continued when Lennon signed Ofir Marciano – another Dahan client – for Hibernian.
Abd Elhamed signing for Celtic may be another case of Dahan's influence, and may just explain why the Bhoys are allegedly interested in the 6ft 1in defender.
