Marco Silva’s Everton side managed to snap up a deal to bring Fabian Delph to Goodison Park last night.

Everton transfer target Callum Wilson has sent a message to Fabian Delph on Instagram congratulating him on a move to Goodison Park.

The Sun suggested that Everton were plotting a £35 million bid for Wilson earlier this summer, but that deal now looks highly unlikely to come off.

Wilson has just penned a new long-term deal at Bournemouth, which suggests that Everton may well miss out on the striker.

But he was still happy for Delph to get a move to Goodison Park, after playing with the midfielder at England level.

Delph was sent plenty of well wishes from his old teammates on social media after his Everton transfer was announced.

Gael Clichy has now promised to support Everton after Delph joined them.

Delph should strengthen Marco Silva’s options in midfield for the coming campaign, and he is expected to bring experience and a winning mentality to the Toffees’ squad.
