West Ham United are pursuing two physical centre forwards.
West Ham's new top target appears to be Eintracht Frankfurt himan Haller, in what would be a big-money move, but Pellegrini may not be done there with his attempts to bolster the strikeforce.
It's believed that West Ham are also in talks to sign West Brom's Rondon, still holding out hope of a deal despite interest from his former Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez at Dalian Yifang.
This could be an ideal double signing for West Ham, and an absolute masterstroke having already lost Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll so far this summer.
Haller, 25, hit 15 goals and nine assist last season, and represents the big-money addition that West Ham have been seeking. He's big, strong and great in the air, whilst he also his best years ahead of him.
Yet the Frenchman has never played Premier League football, so getting in Rondon – a player who also knows Pellegrini well having worked with him at Malaga – would be ideal, especially as he would be a cheaper option.
Signing Haller and Rondon would give West Ham two dangerous strikers, and with the more mobile Javier Hernandez and Michail Antonio in the mix too, they could have an ideal set of strikers for now and for the coming years.
