Axel Tuanzebe sends Instagram message & Aston Villa's John Terry responds

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, manager of Manchester United acknowledges Axel Tuanzebe at half time during the match between the Perth Glory and Manchester United at Optus Stadium on July 13, 2019...

Axel Tuanzebe enjoyed a successful loan spell at Aston Villa last season, as he will now be looking to make his mark at Manchester United ahead of the new campaign.

Aston Villa's John Terry has expressed his approval at Axel Tuanzebe's tackle during Manchester United's pre-season win against Perth Glory on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Manchester United academy product enjoyed a successful campaign at Villa Park last season by helping the Midlands club earn promotion to the Premier League.

He has since returned to Old Trafford, where he is going to be given a chance to prove his worth at United, who are seemingly in transition after a number of difficult seasons.

Nonetheless, here is Tuanzebe's message sent on his personal Instagram, where he joked that he 'got the ball' following a tough tackle. The likes of Terry, Keinan Davis & Yannick Bolasie, all of whom played with the centre-back last season, replied to his comment:

There's no doubt that the Villa supporters would love to see Tuanzebe make a return to the club, whether on loan or on a permanent basis.

He was pivotal at the heart of Villa's defence last season, and Terry's presence as a coach would have no doubt played its part in him producing such outstanding performances.

But now, he will be focusing on trying to break into United's starting XI, with the Manchester-based club struggling during these past few seasons, especially from a defensive standpoint.

As for Villa, they have signed four defensive-minded players since their promotion - Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause, who were on-loan at the club last season, just like Tuanzebe, made their deals permanent.
