The Spurs flop and the Mexican side, who won the CONCACAF Champions League last season, are reportedly in advanced negotiations.
The report claims that the Liga MX giants, who won the CONCACAF Champions League last season (ESPN), are in "advanced" negotiations with the Netherlands striker.
The 25-year-old joined Spurs from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth £17million according to BBC Sport.
However, he has failed to make much of an impact at the north London club, claiming just six goals and four assists in 42 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Indeed, Janssen made just three first-team appearances last term, all league cameos less than 15 minutes each, and did not make a single start (Transfermarkt).
The player has also been linked with Belgian giants Anderlecht recently (HLN Sport) and given he appears surplus to requirements, it would not be surprising to see him up sticks.
Here is what some Spurs fans made of the latest speculation on Janssen on the social media platform:

He works hard but not enough quality for the Premier League. Horrible finisher... looks out of his depth here but there is a good player in there somewhere.— Leon Watson ♛ (@LeonWatson) 12 July 2019
