The Whites academy striker was on the Elland Road club's books for a year and a half.
On Friday, the Whites announced that the 19-year-old had joined Premier League side Watford for an undisclosed fee, the Hornets website confirming that he has signed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road with an additional one-year option.
Dalby joined Leeds from Leyton Orient in January 2018, signing a two and a half year deal and joining up with Carlos Corberan's Under-23s, and he spent time on loan with League Two side Morecambe last season, where he made two substitute appearances.
The teenager leaves Leeds without having made a single appearance for United's first team, having earlier featured 19 times for Orient, scoring once.
Here is what some of the Elland Road faithful said on the social media platform about the Whites parting ways with the talented young forward:
Oh! Wish him well. Hope 'undisclosed fee' doesn't actually mean 'embarrassingly low because we don't know how to sell our players at their market value'. He can't be bad if he's going to the Prem!— Give Bielsa a Sheikh. (@aclr1972) 12 July 2019
I hope there's a decent sell on fee and other performance related clauses. Thought he looked decent for U23s.— zz9zsa (@zz9zsa) 12 July 2019
Lad got nowhere near first team yet the reactions are priceless.....— Scott (@sco060) 12 July 2019

Anyone thought it may not be Leeds ... maybe as a 19 year old he wanted to move back nearer home ♂️— David (@beaglelufc) 12 July 2019
Leeds fans when we sign a player for u23s:— Aaron (@AaronGarbett) 12 July 2019
“sign some players for the first team instead of having 1536252627 u23s”
Leeds fans when we sell ANY of the u23s “how can we sell him?! He was a great prospect and now we’re left with absolutely nobody for the first team”
We sign two youth strikers from Barcelona, yet the fans are crying that the lad who couldn’t break into Morcambes team whilst on Loan is sold ....— Daniel Brader (@Castrobrader) 12 July 2019
Edmondson, Kun T, Mujica, Sarkic all ahead of him. Wasn’t gonna get a look in really— MOTweets (@MOTweets1919) 12 July 2019
Dalby will be part of the Hornets’ development squad during the 2019-20 season with the forward one of five young recruits announced by Watford on Friday alongside Jamal Balogun, Cameron Green, Joseph Hungbo and Henry Wise.
