However, although there's seemingly nothing wrong with Xbox Live, the Express reports that Microsoft has acknowledged the server problem.

"Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience," reads Microsoft's latest support message.

Thanks to the pesky error, users have been unable to sign into their Xbox accounts.

Luckily enough, you might not have to wait for Microsoft to resolve the problem as there could be a quick and easy fix.

According to some users on Twitter, to fix the Xbox Live sign-in issue you must proceed to Network, take yourself offline, and then sign into your account while offline.

Once you've done that, you then return to Network and go online.

Some users have responded to the fix by saying that it worked for logging them onto the console, but that it still left them unable to play online games such as The Division 2.

A solution for this dilemma hasn't been shared as of yet.
