Wolves are reportedly eyeing a move for Newcastle linked striker Joelinton.

Wolves are looking at a move for Brazilian striker Joelinton, report German outlet SPOX.

The 22-year-old Hoffenheim forward netted seven goals last season and is regarded as a bright prospect.

He is a player who has been linked with a move to the Premier League for months, with Newcastle United widely claimed to hold interest.

The Mirror reported just yesterday that Joelinton remains a top target for Newcastle.

Among Newcastle fans though, there is little faith any move would get done.

Newcastle have not signed anybody, have no manager at present, and little direction after Rafa Benitez’s departure.

Wolves on the other hand are on the crest of a wave after finishing seventh in the Premier League last season and reaching the FA Cup semi-final.

It makes much more sense that Joelinton would move to Wolves, than to Newcastle at this point.

At the moment, Wolves’ interest is just speculation. But if a deal is done, it will show once more how they are pulling away from Newcastle, despite winning promotion 12 months after them.
