Olmo, 21, was on the books at Barcelona before heading to Croatia in 2014, as part of the deal which saw Alen Halilovic head to the Camp Nou.
Barca may now regret that deal, as they flogged Halilovic after just two years, whereas Olmo has been starring over in Croatia, hitting 12 goals and nine assists last season.
Olmo just won the Under-21 European Championships with Spain, and interest in his signature appears to be mounting, at least according to reports in his home country.
It's claimed that Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Roma all want Olmo, but he's keen on a Premier League move, and Tottenham are leading the race, with talks already opened with Dinamo thanks to a strong relationship over the Luka Modric deal in 2008.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Olmo can also play on either flank, and that versatility may be hugely appealing to Pochettino, whilst the Spurs boss may know all about him having been on the books at Espanyol and Barcelona.
The Spanish press seem pretty adamant that Tottenham are pursuing Olmo, which is interesting as Football.London claim there is no truth to the rumour, which has been rumbling for almost a week now.
They certainly have a closer grasp on what Spurs are doing, so maybe no move will materialise after all. Yet with those new claims in Spain suggesting talks are already open, fans will be wondering whether Spurs are just trying to keep a move quiet, given the huge competition facing them.
