The Roma starlet is reportedly wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham-linked Nicolo Zaniolo’s agent Claudio Vigorelli has spoken exclusively to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, and hinted that his client will stay at Roma this summer.

The 20-year-old is thought to be a key target for Spurs this summer, with Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claiming that the north London outfit have already made an offer for the Italian.

Tottenham have allegedly offered the Serie A outfit £20 million cash plus the services of Toby Alderweireld for Zaniolo.

According to the midfielder’s agent, however, Spurs will have their work cut out if they want to bring the youngster to north London this summer.

Vigorelli told Italian publication Calcio Mercato:

“To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club. We have heard a lot about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract in recent weeks. it is important to make some clarifications. Nicolo is a heritage of Roma who believed in his talent first and foremost. This is why it is essential to build together the most suitable path to enhance it and continue the extraordinary growth path also in the next season.”

Italian media outlet TuttoSport claims that Zaniolo is valued at around £40 million, so Tottenham could surely still tempt Roma into selling one of their prized assets, if they truly want to bring the youngster to the club this summer.

The young Italian has the potential to go on and become one of the very best players in Europe, and Spurs should not be put off by his agent’s latest remarks.

Tottenham are a real draw in the game now, and if they offer Roma a fair price, there is no reason why they cannot still sign Zaniolo this summer.
