Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on a number of Real Madrid players this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur may have a way to solve two problems in one, if they sell Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid.

Tottenham appear to be keen on two Madrid players, with Dani Ceballos and Mariano Diaz on their wishlist.

Football London have reported how Spurs have a ‘strong interest’ in Ceballos, while AS Sport claim that the Lilywhites want Diaz.

The pair are both valued highly by Madrid, with Ceballos rated as a £45 million talent (AS Sport) and Diaz moving to the Bernabeu for £30 million (Daily Mirror) only last summer.

But it could suit both sides to arrange a swap deal for Tottenham’s Eriksen.

Spurs are looking at selling Eriksen this summer, after the Dane hinted that he wanted a new challenge.

If Eriksen does depart it is thought that Tottenham will use the funds to sign a striker and an attacking midfielder.

However, if Madrid offered up Diaz and Ceballos they would effectively kill two birds with one stone.

Diaz could act as effective cover for Harry Kane up-front at White Hart Lane, while Ceballos looks like a really appealing replacement for Eriksen.

Ceballos is wonderfully gifted with the ball at his feet, and stood out at the European under-21 Championships.

The Spaniard is still developing as a player, and under the tutelage of Pochettino he could genuinely become world class.

And if Spurs were to give up Eriksen in exchange for getting Diaz and Ceballos it may just be a deal that suits all parties involved.
