Dodi Lukebakio has played just one Premier League game for Watford but an oustanding Bundesliga loan spell could secure him a shock move to Arsenal.

Arsenal have expressed an interest in Watford forward Dodi Lukebakio, according to Le10 Sports, despite the fact that the Belgian has played just one Premier League game for The Hornets.

This summer was always going to be a testing one for Arsenal. With their transfer budget limited to just £45 million after Unai Emery failed to lead The Gunners back into the Champions League last season, as reported by Goal, 18-year-old Gabriel Martinelli is the only new arrival so far.

Furthermore, the likes of Nicolas Pepe and Wilfried Zaha are likely to be far too expensive unless Arsenal can find a buyer for Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Shkodran Mustafi and co – though there has been little movement on the departure front either.

So the North London giants will have to be creative and think outside the box. And that is exactly what they appear to be doing with Lukebakio.

Which Premier League Club Has Had The Most Managers EVER?

A jet-heeled 21-year-old who joined Watford from Anderlecht in January 2018, he is yet to make any sort of an impact at Vicarage Road. But a hugely successful loan spell in the Bundesliga with Fortuna Dusseldorf last season suggests that The Hornets might have unearthed another diamond in the rough.

Blessed with rapid pace and the ability to leave centre-halves choking on his dust, Lukebakio scored 14 goals in all competitions for Dusseldorf – including a famous hat-trick against Manuel Neuer and Bayern Munich.

According to Bild, Watford want £18 million – meaning they are set to make a massive profit if they cash in on Lukebakio this summer.
