Should Liverpool make move for Tottenham-linked Ryan Sessegnon?

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both linked to the 19-year-old.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur aren't close to signing Liverpool-linked Ryan Sessegnon.

Bleacher Report claimed last month that the 19-year-old was firmly on the Reds' radar this summer, but the Fulham star is keen to join Spurs [The Guardian].

But with Sky Sports reporting that Tottenham and Fulham are 'yet to enter direct talks', should Liverpool make their move now?

Timing is such an important factor of any signing and it would seem like the timing is right for the Champions League winners to make their move.

Tottenham are preoccupied with the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Dani Ceballos, while the Anfield side have had a significantly lesser window in terms of activity.

Alberto Moreno was released by Jurgen Klopp this summer, meaning that Liverpool need a replacement left-back more than the North Londoners at this moment in time, with Ben Davies being signed up to a new deal and Danny Rose still a Lilywhite for now.

Despite a poor season in the Premier League last term, Sessegnon, valued at £40 million [Sky Sports], remains a massive prospect and the quicker Liverpool move, the more chance they'll have of nipping Tottenham to him.
