Burnley could blow Celtic out of the water for Fikayo Tomori

Celtic and Burnley are reportedly interested in Fikayo Tomori of Chelsea.

According to The Daily Mail, Celtic are interested in signing Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but Burnley could be about to blow the Hoops out of the way.

The Daily Star has claimed that Premier League club Burnley are hoping to secure the services of the 21-year-old defender in a £15 million deal.

 

It is hard to see the Hoops pay £15m for a 21-year-old defender, and they will also to break their record transfer fee.

According to Sky Sports, the most Celtic have paid for any player is the £9m they coughed up to sign Odsonne Edouard on a permanent contract from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018.

Celtic are a massive club, but the chance to play in the Premier League could be too tempting for Tomori, who could well choose Burnley over the Bhoys.

Moreover, the England Under-21 international will earn more money at the Clarets, and he will also have the chance to showcase his quality and calibre to a much bigger audience than he would if he played in the Scottish Premiership.
