Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign the Roma midfielder.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham are determined to sign Roma ace Nicolo Zaniolo this summer, and have offered the Serie A outfit £20 million plus Toby Alderweireld in exchange for the Italian youngster.

Spurs mean business this summer. They have already signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and Jack Clarke from Leeds United, but it seems as though Mauricio Pochettino’s business is far from finished.

The addition of a more creative central midfielder will surely feature highly on Tottenham’s wish-list, and Zaniolo would be the ideal foil for Ndombele.

And Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport claims that Spurs are so desperate to land the 20-year-old, that they have offered Alderweireld as well as £20 million in a bid to tempt Roma into selling.

The thing is, despite the fact that the Belgian is an important player for Tottenham, he will be sold if any club matches this £25 million release clause. So including him in a potential deal to sign Zaniolo could be an absolute masterstroke by Daniel Levy.

And there probably would not be too many Tottenham fans who would be unhappy with that deal.
