Kemar Roofe enjoyed his best season in a Leeds United shirt last season and he will be hoping to go one better ahead of the new Championship campaign.
Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe has sent an Instagram message celebrating his three years at the Championship club.
In 2016, then-Leeds manager Garry Monk signed Roofe from League Two side Oxford United, with a certain Matt Grimes also putting pen-to-paper on an Elland Road deal on that day [BBC Sport].
Midfielder Grimes is no longer at the club, his season-long loan spell wasn’t extended or made permanent as he is now back at his parent club of Swansea City – but Roofe has come on leaps and bounds since that day.
The 26-year-old struggled in his first season at the club, and even found it tough during his second campaign even though there were improvements, but it was his third season where he took his game to the next level.
Here is Roofe posting a message on his personal Instagram where he is celebrating that day he signed for the Yorkshire giants:
Leeds will want one of their star men to stay at the club ahead of the new Championship campaign where the club will be pushing for promotion, but there is interest in his services.
The Scottish Sun have claimed that Rangers are keen to sign Roofe as the Glasgow club see him as a potential replacement for Alfredo Morelos.
It would be a surprise move if Roofe where to make the move from Elland Road to Ibrox, with his potential departure no doubt crushing Leeds’ promotion hopes and helping the Gers win the Scottish Premiership title.
