Everton are interested in signing Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has ordered the club to look into the possibility of landing former Chelsea striker Costa.

 

Moshiri reportedly wants to make a statement signing in the summer transfer window and has identified the 30-year-old striker as a potential transfer target.

The report has also claimed that the Spain international striker almost joined Everton back in 2017.

Blockbuster signing for Everton

Costa is one of the best strikers in the world, and what he did during his time at Chelsea is remarkable.

The Spain international will be a very good signing for Everton, and his experience and style of football will enable him to the Merseyside outfit’s fans.

Everton do need to sign a quality striker, as the Toffees have not replaced Romelu Lukaku and have struggled in front of goal.

Marco Silva's side will be aiming to challenge for the top six next season.
