According to Mucho Deporte, Tottenham Hotspur are very close to buying Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb, and the rumours should catch the eye of the White Hart Lane crowd.

If Spurs are able to complete the signing Olmo then he would be yet another exciting youngster to add to a squad which is already packed with talent.

Olmo’s reputation has soared since the European under-21 Championships, where he excelled in the Spanish side which won the competition.

Playing alongside him in that Spain team was Dani Ceballos, who Tottenham have also been strongly linked with.

Ceballos was the leading creator for Spain, and Tottenham seem to have stepped up their chase of the Real Madrid man since the tournament.

AS Sport in Spain claims that Tottenham are closing in on the playmaker, with Pochettino taking the time to chat with the 22-year-old.

It means that Tottenham could be close to adding two of the shining lights from this summer’s European under-21 Championships.

And if the pair fulfil their potential at White Hart Lane then they could become world-class under Pochettino’s tutelage.
