Michael Owen reacts as Frank Lampard leaves Derby County for Chelsea

Frank Lampard has parted company with Derby County and is in charge of Chelsea now.

Michael Owen has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Frank Lampard leaving Derby County and taking charge of Chelsea.

Lampard has left his managerial role at Championship club Derby and has become the new manager of Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen played with the 41-year-old for the England national football team, and he believes that Lampard will be a success as the Chelsea boss.

Good managerial appointment for Chelsea?

Lampard did well at Derby last season, as the Rams reached the Championship playoff final.

It was one of Derby’s best seasons in the Championship for years, and Lampard has justifiably been praised.

The Englishman is a Chelsea legend, and one suspects that the Stamford Bridge faithful will be patient with him next season.

With Chelsea unable to sign any players in the summer transfer window, the London club will find it tough to finish in the top four of the Premier League during the 2019-20 campaign.
