Michael Hector has poked fun at Barry Bannan, after a video of Sheffield Wednesday’s pre-season training was published yesterday.

Wednesday’s players are stepping up their preparations for the new campaign, and were partaking in a rondo exercise yesterday.

Bannan was caught with the ball and, therefore, forced to go into the middle of the circle to try and win possession back.

And former Wednesday loanee Hector joked that he was not surprised to see Bannan giving the ball away in the training drill.

Hector could yet join Bannan in Wednesday training again, if the Owls can agree a deal to bring him back to Hillsborough.

Steve Bruce has told BBC Sport that he would like to sign Hector on a permanent deal, but Wednesday are yet to tie up a deal with Chelsea.

If the Owls are to sign Hector it would be a massive boost, as the powerful defender was one of their star players last term.
