The Tottenham Hotspur chairman is a highly respected businessman.

Tottenham star Harry Winks spoke exclusively to talkSPORT yesterday, and raved about Daniel Levy, suggesting that the job he has done over the past decade or so has been ‘incredible’.

Spurs have evolved into one of Europe’s best sides since Mauricio Pochettino was handed the reigns at the club back in the summer of 2014.

Levy has endured criticism from some sections of fans for the manner in which he has run the club, but it is hard to argue that he hasn’t been a key figure behind Tottenham’s recent rise in the game.

Spurs went 18 months without signing a new player, before bringing in Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke from Lyon and Leeds United respectively earlier this week.

And Winks took time to praise the work that has been done by Levy, when speaking exclusively to talkSPORT yesterday:

“If you look at the way the chairman has progressed the club in the last 10 to 15 years it’s incredible. He’s taken the club from a mid-table Premier League side to one of the best in England and one of the best in Europe. That’s credit to him. He’s been fantastic with the business that he does. He is what he is and he’s a fantastic chairman and we’re lucky to have someone of his calibre and his prestige as well.”

Tottenham have already made a splash in the transfer market this summer.

And should they go on to make one or two more signings, Levy will be an extremely popular figure amongst Spurs fans.
