How to recharge spell energy in Harry Potter Wizards Unite without allowing Niantic to take all your money.
The wizarding world's equivalent of Pokémon Go, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, is a decent enough simulation that allows J.K. Rowling's biggest fanatics to prance about the world as a robed buffoon without all the deathly dangers that should've resulted in Hogwarts being shut down after Philosopher's Stone alone.
With that being said, it's still a mobile game and that means its developers are a bunch of predatory death eaters trying to take all your money.
So, to avoid being another hypocrite that preaches about microtransactions being evil while keeping them alive, here's how to recharge energy spells without wasting any dough.
Harry Potter Wizards Unite: How to recharge spell energy without spending money
One of the simplest ways to recharge spell energy in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is by logging into the game every single day of your life.
This isn't the most rewarding strategy as it's only once a week the game celebrates your loyalty with free spell energy, but - on the bright side - it's effortless.
And, if you're fully committed to being a wizard on a daily basis, then you might as well also participate in the daily tasks.
Regardless whether it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or whatever made-up day arrives in the future, there should always be at least one quest that boasts a reward of anywhere from 5 to 10 spell energy.
Although the amount of saving up you'll need to do is almost equivalent to collecting 5ps to one day buy a Ferrari, the daily challenges are often effortless and short.
In addition to the above, you can also get spell energy by frequenting Inns and Green Houses. Unfortunately, this demands more effort as it requires you to brave the wilderness and to physically venture to locales. But, at the very least, it rewards your exercise with the spell energy you crave.
Wizards Unite's Inns are real-world locations that become larger on the game's map once you venture nearer to them. You'll eventually be able to select the Inn and feast on a meal that rewards you with spell energy rather than protein and calories.
These Inns can be visited multiple times after a five minute respite, so feel free to exploit this loophole if you have nothing better to do.
As for greenhouses, they are ideal locations to snatch resources for potions and - occasionally - spell energy. This isn't very often as picking potted planets usually results in you attaining something related to Herbology, but sometimes you'll find spell energy in your stocking rather than lumps of coal.
However, if all of the above is too daunting, then you can simply be a Ron Weasley and fork up real-money for spell energy at Diagon Alley. And, yes, you should be ashamed.
