Joseph Hungbo is set to leave Crystal Palace for another Premier League side – Javi Gracia’s Watford.

Joseph Hungbo is set to swap Crystal Palace for Watford, according to All Nigeria Soccer, as he looks to make his mark at Premier League level.

News of the highly-rated winger’s impending switch to Vicarage Road might come as a shock to Crystal Palace fans.

After all, Hungbo was expected by many to make the grade at Selhurst Park. He captained the Eagles at U18 level and was even voted as the club’s U16 Player of the Year a few seasons ago.

But, after returning to Palace after a loan spell in non-league with Margate, the 19-year-old has been allowed to leave with Watford reportedly on the verge of snapping him up on a free transfer.

This comes just one year after Hungbo signed a professional contract with Roy Hodgson’s side, on the back of scoring an impressive 14 goals in 29 games for the Crystal Palace reserves during the 2017/18 season.

Now, however, he will be hoping to make his senior debut in the famous yellow shirt of Watford instead.

Hungbo will follow another academy graduate out the door but it’s fair to say Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s exit is rather more high profile given that he has joined Manchester United for £50 million.
