Young Norwich City goalkeeper Jon McCracken is on trial at Premier League rivals Burnley as he looks to earn a contract at Turf Moor, according to the Scottish Sun.
It has been another frustrating transfer window so far for the Clarets, with Sean Dyche yet to enhance a squad that finished 15th in the Premier League last season, just six points above the relegation zone.
Burnley did offer £10 million for Marseille winger Lucas Ocampos, according to Get France Football News, but the Argentine has since joined Sevilla instead.
The Lancashire outfit could welcome a new face through the door soon though, albeit a little-known goalkeeper.
The Scottish Sun claims that McCracken has been told he has no future at Norwich and he has since linked up with Burnley’s squad ahead of their pre-season training camp in Poland. Should he impress, a contract could be his.
Burnley are hardly short of top quality goalkeepers right now, though, so McCracken’s first-team prospects will hardly be enhanced.
England internationals Joe Hart, Nick Pope and Tom Heaton are all contracted to The Clarets, although the latter is facing an uncertain future after rejecting a contract extension, according to the Sun.
