Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in snapping up Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden this summer.

According to the Northern Echo, Wolverhampton Wanderers have considered moving for wantaway Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden.

Hayden is keen on a move away from Newcastle, with the Magpies reportedly willing to sell him for around £15 million.

The report claims that interest in growing in Hayden, with Wolves among the contenders for his signature.

Nuno has considered making a move for the 24-year-old before, with Watford, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion also said to be keen.

Whether Wolves will step up their interest in Hayden this summer remains to be seen, but a move to Molineux may appeal to Hayden.

The 24-year-old wants to move further down south for personal reasons, and although Wolves isn’t in London it is far closer to the capital than Newcastle.

If Hayden was to move to Wolves he would add steel to their midfield, but it is hard to see him being a permanent starter.

Wolves already have Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves, who look fairly set as Nuno’s first choice pairing in the middle of the pitch.

Wolves do have European football to contend with this season though, and Hayden would give them good depth in the midfield area.
