Hull City have reportedly opened talks with Leeds United over a move for Mallik Wilks.

A number of Leeds and Hull fans have taken to Twitter to react to reports from Hull Live which claimed that the two Championship clubs have held talks over a potential deal for Mallik Wilks.

Wilks appeared to head into the summer with a realistic chance of forcing his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans at Elland Road after an outstanding loan spell with Doncaster last term.

He scored 14 goals and contributed eight assists for Donny in the league, and Grant McCann is reportedly now hoping to sign him once again following his switch to the KCOM Stadium.

Hull Live reports that the two clubs have held talks with Leeds open to selling the youngster permanently with the Whites accepting that he is unlikely to get a lot of game-time for Bielsa’s side this term.

The news has not gone down at all well amongst the Whites fans on social media. It is clear that plenty believe that Wilks has the talent to make the grade at Elland Road, and thus, the club should only be willing to consider another loan move for the forward.

Meanwhile, plenty of Hull fans believe that he would be a fantastic signing given what he achieved while working with McCann last season. It appears that only one set of supporters would be pleased to see the deal go through this summer.
