Birmingham City could use the money generated from the sale of a former Sheffield United player to try and sign a rumoured Blades target, according to the Daily Mail.
Southampton are said to have paid the Blues £15 million for Che Adams, with 20 per cent of that (£3m) heading to Sheffield United as part of a sell-on clause agreed in 2016.
The Serie B side are said to have paid Inter Milan £2.9m for Puscas a year ago.
And although he only scored nine goals in 33 games in his first season on Sicily, the 23-year-old made a positive impression at this summer's Under-21 European Championship.
That should only increase his chances of a move, with Palermo's recent demotion to Italy's fourth tier also a likely factor.
Sheffield United have seen their own striking pool diminish since the end of last season, and Puscas could help to restore some of the physicality lost through Gary Madine's return to Cardiff City.
Birmingham already employ one powerful front man in Lukas Jutkiewicz, who proved the perfect foil for Adams last term.
Would Puscas be a good addition for Birmingham City / Sheffield United?
