The Frenchman is a reported transfer target for Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Sport, Liverpool remain a ‘serious’ option for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

The speedy winger joined the Catalan giants from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017, for a fee that could eventually rise to £135.5m according to BBC Sport, but he has struggled to settle at the Camp Nou.

And it seems as though the Reds could be ready to pounce.

German media outlet Kicker claims that Bayern Munich are leading the race for the France international, but Spanish publication Sport suggests that Liverpool are still a serious option for the winger.

Kicker also suggests that Barca could accept an offer of around €105 million (£94 million) for Dembele.

And what a signing he would be for Liverpool.

The Barcelona ace possesses pace in abundance, and would slot perfectly into Jurgen Klopp’s high-octane setup at Anfield.

The Frenchman would also provide stiff competition for the Reds’ current front three, who seem almost untouchable at the moment.

Liverpool will have to beat Bayern Munich in the race for Dembele’s signature by all accounts, but there is no reason why they will not seem like a more attractive proposition than the German giants to the sure-to-be superstar.
