Youssouf Mulumbu needs a new club after Celtic let him go but could he return to the Championship with West Bromwich Albion?

Slaven Bilic has been in charge of West Bromwich Albion for less than a month and already supporters are keen to see the club’s new-look transfer policy.
Speaking to the Express and Star, The Baggies’ technical director Luke Dowling has made it clear that West Brom are going down the road of young, hungry players as they look to secure a return to the Premier League at the second time of asking.
That means highly-rated academy graduates are in while elder statesmen like Gareth Barry and James Morrison have been allowed to leave. Craig Dawson has also been sold to Watford.
But would West Brom be tempted to make an exception for Youssouf Mulumbu?

After being released by Celtic on Saturday, the veteran midfielder is out of contract and on the lookout for a new club. And Mulumbu has made it very clear on Twitter that he would relish a second chance at The Hawthorns.
It seems unlikely right now that West Brom would be sentimental enough to bring the 32-year-old back to the club where he patrolled the midfield with energy and tenacity between 2009 and 2015.
But if they want to get the fans onside after a horrible end to last season, this wouldn’t be a bad way to go.
