Aston Villa fans are hugely excited over rumours that they could sign Rafael Leao from Lille this summer.

According to SuperDeporte, Villa are the latest club to show interest in the rapid striker who could be available for £25 million.

Leao is regarded as one of the most talented prospects in France, with a whole host of clubs battling for his signature.

And supporters of Dean Smith’s side are hoping that he can be persuaded to join Villa.

If Leao did opt to move to Villa Park it would be a massive statement of intent from Smith’s men.

Villa have already improved their attack with the addition of Wesley this summer, but Leao would be a different type of option.

While Wesley is more powerful, Leao’s strength comes in his agility and pace.

Leao scored eight goals in Ligue 1 last term and helped his current Lille side claim a Champions League spot.
