Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a deal for Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke, but the fans are not happy about one aspect of the move.

Tottenham may be on the verge of completing their first signing since the 2018 January window, but there are plenty of supporters who are now unhappy with the latest reports from the Guardian concerning their move for Leeds starlet Jack Clarke.
Clarke’s move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has looked to be on the cards for some time now. And the Guardian is now reporting that its completion is imminent, with Spurs set to pay an initial £10 million that could rise by a further £1.5 million in the future.
The Whites winger is one of the most exciting talents in the Football League having made his professional debut less than a year ago and making over 20 league appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
He may not be the finished article, but he has the attributes that suggest that he could make an immediate impact in the Premier League by showing some flashes of brilliance that make £10 million look like an absolute bargain.

And that is why plenty of Tottenham fans are not happy with the reports from the Guardian, which have suggested that Clarke will spend the coming campaign back on loan at Elland Road before joining Mauricio Pochettino’s squad next summer.
Having waited 18 months for a new signing, some of the Spurs supporters are clearly disappointed that their new acquisition will not even be available to Pochettino for another year. He may not be ready to play a prominent role with Tottenham, but several fans feel that it would be better for the club and Clarke if he does not return to Leeds.
