Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to sign the Real Madrid midfielder.
According to a report form Spanish media outlet AS, Dani Ceballos is still set to leave Real Madrid this summer with Tottenham leading the way for his signature, as the Spaniard has no interest of joining AC Milan on a two-year loan deal.
It seems as though Spurs are ready to spend big this summer, with moves for Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke nearly done, according to the London Evening Standard, and further moves for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon being lined up.
Tottenham have been interested in signing Ceballos too pretty much all summer long, according to various reports, but now Spanish media outlet AS claims that the north London outfit are the front-runners.
The Daily Star reported a couple of days ago that Madrid want just £30 million for the 22-year-old now, and that has seen interest in his signature increase.
AC Milan want to sign the Spaniard, but the player himself has no interest in moving to the San Siro.
So as things stand, AS claims that Tottenham have the upper hand in the race. Much will depend on whether Mauricio Pochettino plans to move ahead with a move for Lo Celso on top of Ndombele, however.
