With several key players still to come back to Leeds, it is no surprise that Marcelo Bielsa's staff have included several young players in their plans at the start of pre-season training.
The under-23s proved vital to Bielsa during his first year at Elland Road as Leeds suffered the kind of injury crisis that made it scarcely-believable that they put themselves in the Championship promotion race in the first place.
In an ideal world, Bielsa will be hoping that he only needs to turn to Carlos Corberan's ranks this season when a player is clearly ready to be called up, rather than when he is desperately needed.
But the pathway will definitely remain open.
And perhaps Niall Huggins could be an outside contender to push for one or two first-team chances this coming season as he posted a couple of photos on social media showing the 18-year-old working alongside the likes of Adam Forshaw, Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Kalvin Phillips.
It is going to be a tall order. Leeds arguably have a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order, and he is going to have to produce something special to get any chance this season.
But he is now a Wales under-21 international and was rewarded with his first professional contract in May. And with the youngster seemingly sharing the stage with the club's first-team stars, perhaps there is an outside chance that he may get selected in one of the pre-season games.
If he does get that opportunity, perhaps it is not out of the question for the talented teenager to catch Bielsa's eye.
