It has been reported that Wolves are set to secure the services of the 21-year-old defender for a transfer fee of £12 million.
Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation regarding Konsa.
Below are some of the best comments:
Konsa is a massive upgrade on bennett already and he’s still very young as well, he literally fits the philosophy the club has now set up— x (@bibb_wwfc) June 30, 2019
Didn't think I'd be one to get excited over signing a player from the championship but wow ezri konsa would be a great signing he's like a little willy boly #wwfc— (@adamBriant1993) June 30, 2019
This konsa guy looks like he’d be a nice recruitment with ice running through his veins and passing like big neves pinging them out wide, hope this rumour is true #wwfc— Slabhead (@MattMorgan_17) June 30, 2019
Konsa seems like a Fosun signing. Will get plenty of games next year with all the competitions we're in too. #wwfc— Steve Cross (@StevenCross81) June 30, 2019
Just so I can get on the bandwagon of knowing a player before we’ve signed them... Ezri Konsa is class, had him at Wolves on career mode a couple years ago got him up to an 85. #wwfc— Mendes FC (@PortuWolves) June 30, 2019
Konsa should fit perfectly into our back 3 at RCB - the position he plays at Brentford.— Paddy Day (@paddyday90) June 30, 2019
Very comfortable on the ball and likes to bring it out, so two Bolys in effect either side of Coady.
If we could get Alvarez, who can play CB/DM, we're looking strong at the back. #wwfc
Konsa would be a super grab. Absolute baller. Go and do it #wwfc— Oscillating Wildly (@OscillateWWFC) June 30, 2019
Initially it does seem strange to get rid of Hause for Konsa and pay 12 million. I can't see much difference in either. Both young and promising England youth defenders but I feel Konsa has the ability to get into the world class bracket. Also I didn't like Hause's attitude #wwfc— James (@JaiwolfLee) June 30, 2019
Good signing for Brentford?
Konsa is one of the best and most promising young defenders in the Championship, and the 21-year-old will be a very good signing for Wolves, not just for now, but for the long term as well.
The England Under-21 international defender made 42 appearances in the Championship for Brentford last season, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
Wolves are building a strong team for the future, and Konsa does fit into Nuno’s player in the coming years.
