According to The Telegraph, Leeds United will sign Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Championship club will complete the signing of the 25-year-old winger on Monday.

The Portugal international said goodbye to his Wolves teammates on Friday, according to the report.

Good signing for Leeds United?

Costa joined Wolves from Benfica on a permanent contract in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Telegraph to be worth £13 million.

The winger did well initially for the Wanderers, but the 25-year-old struggled for regular playing time for Nuno’s team in the Premier League last season.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old made 16 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves last season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.

Costa has a good record with Wolves in the Championship, and signing the winger will enhance Leeds’s chances of finishing in the top two of the league table next season.
