Fans of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and Celtic are mocking Scott Allan on Twitter.

Scott Allan’s controversial comments haven’t gone down well with Celtic or Rangers fans it seems.

The 27-year-old finally left the Hoops this summer and made headlines on Friday after complaining about the treatment he received during a four-year stint at Parkhead [Glasgow Evening Times].

Allan, a boyhood Rangers fan, only made 13 Premiership appearances for Celtic, and hadn’t made a match-day squad for a senior outing since last July.

The Scotland Under-21 international looked set to move to Ibrox in 2015, though Hibernian, whom he re-joined this week, blocked the transfer and Ronny Deila wound up taking him to Lennoxtown instead.

Nevertheless, there is a lingering animosity among Gers fans over the belief that Allan chose Celtic ahead of them way back when.

And suffice to say that fans of both Old Firm clubs have found common ground in slating the midfielder.

Allan officially re-signed for Hibs in January, while Neil Lennon was at Easter Road, but he only arrived this week.
