Could a transfer rumour involving Leeds United be a big boost to Rangers in their pursuit for Ryan Kent?
Sky Sports News claimed on Thursday that Leeds were in 'advanced talks' to re-sign Jack Harrison on loan from Manchester City.
If that one happens, and it seems like it might, then the Whites will have little use for Kent and therefore Rangers could be the last club standing.
Aston Villa have already pulled out of the race to sign the 22-year-old - a left-sided winger, like Harrison - and if the Elland Road club follow suit then that, in theory, gives the Gers a massive advantage.
The light Blues' assistant manager Gary McAllister said last week that Steven Gerrard was first in line to re-sign the Liverpool attacker- valued at £12 million [The Echo] - on loan.
And that looks a lot more likely now if Leeds are preoccupied with other targets.
Kent, who won Young Player of the Year in Scotland last season, has already come on leaps and bounds since working under the Rangers manager, and became a firm fan favourite at Ibrox.
And the quicker Marcelo Bielsa completes a deal for Harrison, the more obvious it'll be that Kent looks destined to return to Glasgow.
