Arsenal and Tottenham have both been linked with William Saliba.

Saint Etienne centre-back William Saliba is reportedly wanted by both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
The Times report Saliba’s preference is to join Arsenal ahead of Tottenham.
The France under-20 international’s future is unclear.
ESPN have reported Arsenal are leading the race, and hope to agree a £22.5 million fee for his signature.
The Mirror report Tottenham are considering hijacking the move, with their ability to offer Champions League football an advantage.
Yet Arsenal are reportedly Saliba’s preferred destination.

One reason why, is likely to be that Saliba will find it far easier to establish himself as a regular in Arsenal’s team.
At Tottenham he would be competing with Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth, and Toby Alderweireld if he stays.
Arsenal have no standout centre-backs, with Laurent Koscielny turning 34 in September, and Shkrodran Mustafi and Sokratis unconvincing, while Rob Holding is coming off a long term injury.
