How to fix PS4 error code CE-36329-3

Error code CE-36329-3 usually rears its ugly mug after causing your games to crash in the middle of the action.

Of course, this is very annoying as it means it can happen at any moment. You could be defying gravity with Nathan Drake only for the Steven Spielberg-esque action to abruptly stop, or you could be about to score in an online FIFA bout only for the match to be called off with you receiving the humiliating L.

Thankfully, PS4 error code CE-36329-3 is a relatively harmless bugger that doesn't appear very often and can be easily fixed.

Here are the simple methods used to fix PS4 error code CE-36329-3:

  • Restart the game you were playing before the error appeared, and nine times out of ten you won't be bothered again.

  • Restart your PS4.

  • If you can't go more than an hour or a couple of days without your games crashing, ensure you have the latest version of the PS4 firmware installed. To do this, go to Settings and System Software Update. If there are any updates available, be sure to download and install them. Following this, you should check that the constantly crashing video game is also up to date. You do this by selecting Options on the PS4 controller when hovering over the game icon, and then selecting Check For Update.

Something that isn't as simple is reinstalling the original hard drive if you ever installed your own. If this doesn't work and you're still being slapped in the face by the error for a consecutive amount of days, then you will need to endure the pain that comes with contacting the PlayStation Support.

Either that, or you can wipe your PS4 clean by first backing up your saved data, and then proceeding to Settings, Initialisation, and selecting Initialise PS4.
