Sony has revealed the free games for PS Plus this July 2019, and PS4 gamers might be disappointed that they're not Celeste or Nioh.
Although I'd be remissed to call myself an online gamer due to avoiding multiplayer like the plague, PS Plus is one of the best things about the PlayStation 4 because of the free video games it allows subscribers to download every month. Unfortunately, Sony gamers might be disappointed this July 2019 because of the free titles not being Celeste or Nioh.
The free PS Plus games available for June 2019 were the excellent Sonic Mania and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and they're still available to download before the July switch.
In what will no doubt come as disappointing news, though, Sony hasn't followed up on June 2019's offerings with games that are just as good or even better.
Sony reveals free PS Plus July 2019 games: They're not Celeste or Nioh
Celeste, Nioh, and Watch Dogs were predicted to be the free games for PS Plus this July 2019, but it turns out that none of them are a part of next month's table of goodies.
Instead, Sony is allowing PS Plus subscribers to download Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo for free.
PES 2019 is a far superior football game to FIFA 19 because of its Master League and gameplay, meanwhile Horizon Chase Turbo is a decent enough racing game with stunning visuals and handling that provoke a rush of nostalgia.
It's admittedly disappointing that people's predictions weren't right and that July 2019's free games pale in comparison to Borderlands and Sonic, but they're free so I guess we can't complain that much.
Plus, you've always got to take the bad with the good when it comes to subscription services like PS Plus.
