Aston Villa fans think that the club’s tweet about Premier League badges arriving could point towards Jack Butland arriving.

Villa posted out a picture of the Premier League logos which will be embossed on their kit next season, alongside the number one.

The choice of the goalkeeper’s number certainly piqued a few Villa fans’ interests, as Dean Smith currently appears to be wanting a new stopper.

The Daily Mirror have reported how Villa are chasing Butland from Stoke City, who they were initially quoted £27 million for.

And many Villa fans think that the message on Villa’s Twitter was a showing that a deal is nearly done.

Villa’s move for Butland could be boosted by the news that Adam Davies has joined Stoke.

Davies looks certain to be Butland’s replacement for the Potters, with Villa seemingly leading the way for the England international’s signature.
