Tottenham Hotspur are nearing a deal for Tanguy Ndombele, with Sky Sports reporting a £65 million fee has been agreed with Lyon.

It is a significant move for Tottenham - and adds to frustrations being felt by fans of rivals Arsenal.

The Gunners are yet to strike any deals this summer, and reportedly have a transfer budget less than the Ndombele fee.

This is in part due to Arsenal's failure to earn a Champions League place, and also the frugal approach of distant owner Stan Kroenke.

Arsenal's task of usurping Tottenham as top dogs in North London gets even tougher with Ndombele's move, providing it goes through.

Ndombele was a player linked with Arsenal over a year ago, with The Sun reporting Arsene Wenger was keen.

Now the Ligue 1 midfielder is heading to the Premier League, seemingly with rivals Tottenham.
