Tottenham are set to land Tanguy Ndombele.
It is a significant move for Tottenham - and adds to frustrations being felt by fans of rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners are yet to strike any deals this summer, and reportedly have a transfer budget less than the Ndombele fee.
This is in part due to Arsenal's failure to earn a Champions League place, and also the frugal approach of distant owner Stan Kroenke.
Arsenal's task of usurping Tottenham as top dogs in North London gets even tougher with Ndombele's move, providing it goes through.
Ndombele was a player linked with Arsenal over a year ago, with The Sun reporting Arsene Wenger was keen.
Now the Ligue 1 midfielder is heading to the Premier League, seemingly with rivals Tottenham.
Here is a look at how Gunners fans reacted on Twitter to the reports...
Feels quite awful to see players of Ndombele’s caliber go to spurs but man, we used to buy these guys early, remember? #afc always had the next best thing lined up before anyone knew about em. I mean where were we when Lyon bought Ndombele cheap?— RMO_114 (@CoolHandGoon) June 26, 2019
If Spurs signs Ndombele then how can I deal with this weeping and mourning over lack of signings at arsenal FC?— ANIJUNSI CHRISTOPHER Chukwuma (@anijunsichrist) June 26, 2019
Spurs getting Ndombele ...meanwhile arsenal can’t even agree a deal to get tierney and co ...shameful— BenniВor (@Ubomaa) June 26, 2019
