Reading have been linked with AFC Wimbledon forward Joe Pigott.

According to the Daily Mail, Reading are keen to sign AFC Wimbledon forward Joe Pigott in a £250,000 move ahead of their Championship rivals as interest grows in the player.
It is claimed the Wimbledon forward is attracting interest from several Championship clubs after netting 18 goals last season, but Reading are ready to move quickly as they fear missing out on him.
Pigott was one of the standout players in League One last term. His 15 league goals for Wimbledon helped the London club preserve their League One status as they finished one place above the drop zone.
Reading were also in a relegation fight last season. Manager Jose Gomes arrived mid-season and managed to turn the Royals’ form around as they stayed in the Championship ahead of Rotherham United.
The Royals signed Marc McNulty last summer from the Coventry City, but the Scot’s struggles at the Madejski Stadium saw him move north of the border in January as he joined Hibernian on loan.

Reading will be wary Pigott could follow down the same path, but for a reported £250,000 he represents a gamble worth taking and at 25 years of age he has lower league experience behind him.
Pigott has enjoyed spells at Luton Town, Charlton Athletic and Southend prior to joining Wimbledon. He has proven to be an influential figure, with his goals last season directly earing the Dons 19 points.
