Rangers are on the verge of securing signing number seven this summer, with midfielder Joe Aribo set to arrive at Ibrox imminently.
The London Evening Standard noted yesterday that the 22-year-old is all set to undergo a medical with Rangers, agreeing to join the club with his Charlton contract expiring this coming Sunday.
Charlton will only receive £300,000 for Aribo, who hit 10 goals and five assists last season as the Addicks won promotion, and the skilful midfielder will join fellow new signings George Edmundson, Steven Davis, Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo and Greg Stewart at Ibrox.
With seven new faces in, you'd think Rangers were almost done in the transfer market. However, there's reason to believe five more players will be joining the club this summer.
Wes Foderingham may look to move on this summer, meaning another goalkeeper would be needed behind Allan McGregor, who is heading towards the end of his career. Any shot-stopper heading to Ibrox would know that they'll have a shot at succeeding McGregor, but a move may depend on Foderingham.
A veteran centre back would be ideal to replace Gareth McAuley, and mean that youngster Edmundson isn't put under too much pressure having only just arrived from the fourth tier of English football.
Steven Gerrard doesn't appear to love Borna Barisic, and with the Daily Record claiming interest in Derby County's Max Lowe, a left back may still be a priority too.
Winger Ryan Kent will be wanted back on loan from Liverpool after a fine campaign last season, and another striker to replace Kyle Lafferty whilst aiding Jermain Defoe and Alfredo Morelos would make it five.
Other areas of the Rangers side appear well-stocked, and whilst a host of players are likely to go, Rangers fans may still find that Gerrard brings another five signings to Ibrox yet.
