Are Celtic links with Milad Mohammadi bad news over Kieran Tierney?

Celtic are said to be keen to sign up Milad Mohammadi, amid rumours that Kieran Tierney could leave Parkhead to join Arsenal.

The Scottish Sun suggest that Celtic are looking at Milad Mohammadi, and that may just suggest that Neil Lennon is planning for life without Kieran Tierney, amid rumours Arsenal are interested.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Tierney could leave Celtic now, with Arsenal confident of getting the left-back.

Celtic are no strangers to having Premier League interest in Tierney, but they have always been able to fend it off without too much fuss before.

 

However, Tierney looks closer to an exit from Parkhead than ever before now - with Unai Emery's Arsenal side seemingly focused on getting him.

Rumours that Celtic are now trying to snap up Mohammadi from Akhmat Grozy do not making pretty reading for those of a Celtic persuasion.

It seems unlikely that Mohammadi would come to Celtic simply to be a reserve.

He has been capped too many times for his country and is arguably too high profile a target to be snapped up as a covering option.

It seems far more likely that Mohammadi is being eyed as Celtic’s replacement for Tierney.

And the suggestions that the Bhoys could move for the Iranian international can only add fuel to the fire that Tierney may depart Glasgow this summer.
