According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Barcelona teenager Alejandro Balde – and he’s allegedly ‘packed his bags’ to move to England.

The Reds will be in the market for additions this summer, and with Adam Lewis set to step up into the first team as cover for Andrew Robertson following Alberto Moreno’s exit, a youngster may be targeted.

Barcelona have been bringing Balde through their famed La Masia ranks, but they now fear the 16-year-old left back is heading for the Premier League.

It’s claimed that Liverpool and Chelsea are both really pushing for Balde, with the teenager believing he’s England-bound having already ‘packed his bags’ to move.

With Chelsea’s transfer ban still in place, Liverpool may well be favourites to land Balde, even if Barcelona are trying to salvage the situation and keep Balde.

Also capable of playing on the left wing, Balde has five caps for Spain’s Under-16’s, and looks set for a bright future having impressed for Barcelona’s Cadete A side.

Balde has a big decision to make, and Liverpool may well see it as a coup if they can lure the teenager away from Barcelona and get him signed up to the Anfield ranks for many years to come.
